Allan Donald (Al) Rogers

ROGERS, Allan Donald – a retired teacher, Allan was born November 30, 1941 in Orillia, Ontario, he died October 1, 2016 in Elliot Lake, Ontario. Pre-deceased by his parents Norma and Arthur Rogers and brothers Art (Monique), Larry (Marge), he is survived by his brother Tom (Helen), many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Canada. Allan was a graduate of Elliot Lake High School where he made friends was able to keep in touch via the internet and an annual reunion. He was an avid curler, Ontario Senior Games co-ordinator for district 3A and enjoyed many of the services provided by the City of Elliot Lake such as the library, parks, trails, arts display, entertainment series and the Pearson Centre. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Monday, October 10th from 7-9 pm at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Ave). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 at 10:00 am from St. Peter The Apostle Anglican Church. The Rev. Henk Willems officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlands Cemetery, Elliot Lake. Memorial contributions to the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Elliot Lake would be appreciated by the family.
